About The Role

IDP Landscape are looking for enthusiastic Graduate Designers and Apprentice Landscape Technicians to join our team in Coventry to fully utilise and develop their creative talents.

GRADUATE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT (1-YEAR PLACEMENT)

The Successful Candidate Will Need To Have The Following:

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture at an LI accredited University.
  • Strong design and communication skills are essential.
  • Highly motivated and adaptable, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe suite, AutoCad and Sketch-Up.
  • Proficient in Keyscape and Plant Partner for detailed plant specification.
  • Passion for innovative ideas and exceptional presentation required.

The role will require an enthusiastic individual to support in the delivery of our landscape services, from design competitions, masterplanning, through to creating landscape strategies, detailed designs and specifications. The position will suit a highly motivated individual who would like to work within and experience multidisciplinary teams and assist in all stages of project work from inception to completion on site. LEVEL 3 – LANDSCAPE TECHNICIAN APPRENTICESHIP

The role requires an enthusiastic individual to support the delivery of landscape architecture projects across a wide range of activities. This includes assisting with landscape masterplanning, detailed hard and soft landscape design, and preparing construction drawings, detailing, and specifications. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated candidate who is eager to gain experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to projects at every stage—from initial concept through to on-site completion. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will qualify as a Landscape Technician.

In This Role, You Will Be Involved In:

  • Assisting the team with ongoing project work using relevant software: AutoCAD, KeySCAPES, Adobe suite, Sketchup, including working on baseline work for landscape visual impact assessments, aiding the team with masterplans for large scale projects, working on plot layouts for housing developments.
  • Developing your understanding of plants and planting arrangements for small scale developments through to large scale garden villages.
  • Completing basic drawing tasks using AutoCAD in relation to plans for housing layouts.
  • Graphic design input into projects.
