About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Urban Design Technician to join our team. The role requires a professional to provide support and expertise within our urban design team. They will be responsible for creating drawings, models, and reports to support our design projects, working closely with our senior urban designers and architects.
Key responsibilities include:
β’ Providing technical assistance for various urban design projects, including masterplans, concept plans, and design briefs
β’ Preparing and producing detailed drawings, models, and reports for a range of urban design projects
β’ Working closely with urban designers, architects, and other members of the design team
β’ Assisting in the preparation of urban design studies and analysis, research projects, and other technical documentation
β’ Producing high-quality masterplan drawings and illustrations
β’ Ensuring that designs comply with relevant regulations and standards
Requirements
β’ Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop & InDesign
β’ Ability to analyze site conditions and develop design solutions
β’ Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely
β’ Ability to identify and resolve technical issues
β’ Ability to work effectively with other team members, clients & consultants
About you:
β’ Has either a HNC or a degree in Architectural Technology
β’ Has a minimum of 2 yearsβ experience within the construction industry
β’ Has a strong interest in urban design, masterplanning and housing
β’ Is committed to continuing professional development with a willingness to learn and progress
β’ Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
β’ Is personable and professional with high levels of motivation, ambition and drive
β’ Has excellent team-working skills
β’ Is commercially minded and takes on personal responsibility
β’ Is committed and has an eye for detail
β’ Has an ability to manage your own time and workload
β’ Is proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
