The Idox Geospatial Division is a collection of four unique geospatial businesses rolled into a single entity and strategy. With a customer base spanning public sector and commercial markets, the reach is extensive. The division is experiencing impressive YoY revenue growth and is backed by significant investment in people and projects, with a 3-year strategy to become the largest Geospatial services business in the UK.

Role Overview: The New Business Sales Executive will be a vital part of the Sales team within the Geospatial Division, reporting directly to the Head of Sales. The role is primarily home-based but requires attendance at quarterly kick-off meetings, office-based training, and occasional customer meetings, exhibitions, conferences, and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify net new business opportunities across all sectors within the geospatial market.
  • Build relationships with target accounts and develop opportunities to convert sales directly or collaborate with sector-specific sales leads.
  • Promote and sell the geospatial product portfolio, which includes a geospatial data platform, data licensing, insights, engineering, DaaS integration, SaaS applications, and professional services such as design, build consultancy, and GIS training.
  • Act as a natural new business sales hunter, enjoying the pursuit of new clients and opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in new business sales, preferably within the geospatial or related technology sectors.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to sales.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel as required for client meetings, events, and training sessions.
