Fun, empowering Female Support Worker needed! To help two ladies with learning disabilities thrive & shine! Hi, we are two young ladies who live in our own homes, who are based in Yeadon and Rawdon in Leeds. We are looking for Female team members to help support us to live our best lives and seek out adventure...could you be the right fit?
We are both big music fans and we enjoy musical/theatre shows, eating out sometimes, the cinema, being creative and learning new things. Day-to-Day, we have individual activities that are supported outside of our home, these include Mind the Gap which is England's leading learning disability performance and live arts company and SORM (School Of Rock and Media) and being supported by a PA to go to the cinema, crafting and meeting friends, going to college and new experiences. As well as spending time with our families when we are not at the house.
We will need you to be able to work your fair share of bank holidays, weekends and sleep ins – this is essential and is an absolute must. The people who know and care for us say we are awesome, polite young ladies who both have a great sense of humour. We can be shy when we initially meet new people, but once we are relaxed, we love to chat. We also like drawing and cooking – we are very independent and really want to build on this with the right support.
When we are out and about we need support to ensure that we are safe, we love to speak with people and engage with our community and what’s on around it. This makes us feel good and brightens others' days. Could you be the perfect match for us? We like people who are always reliable, calm but also fun loving, a good listener with a sense of adventure to support us.
