Warwickshire County Council are currently recruiting for a Meet & Greet / Reception Assistant to join the team at Shire Hall, Warwick. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced customer service professional to become the welcoming face of the Council, supporting visitors, staff and partners on a daily basis.
Working within a small team of three, you will provide a professional front-of-house service, assisting customers with enquiries, directing visitors to the appropriate services and helping ensure the smooth running of reception operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing a professional and friendly reception service to visitors and staff.
- Greeting, signposting and assisting customers with a range of enquiries.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries and taking accurate messages.
- Supporting customers to access Council services.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post.
- Maintaining records and updating information on internal systems.
- Liaising with internal teams and building partners to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Reporting building and maintenance issues as required.
- Supporting the wider team with administrative duties.
- Undertaking responsibilities such as key holder, fire warden and first aider following training.
- Previous experience within a busy customer-facing environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints professionally.
- Confident using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to think on your feet and work using your own initiative.
- Organised, methodical and accurate approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Resilient and capable of dealing with a varied workload and customer demands.
