Pertemps are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Stores Operative to support our busy stores team over the coming months. This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working closely with our existing Storekeeper to keep goods moving efficiently through the business during a particularly busy period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unloading deliveries and checking goods against delivery notes
- Booking goods into the system (ERP experience preferred)
- Moving and organising stock within stores and across the shop floor
- Handling a wide range of items – from small components (nuts, bolts, fittings) to large machined parts and fabrications
- Kitting parts for production
- Packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Occasional local collections from suppliers
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (7T preferred, 3.5T minimum)
- Previous stores/warehouse experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- PC literate with experience using ERP systems (Epicor desirable but not essential)
- Comfortable working in a physically active, fast-moving environment
- Flexible and willing to support overtime when required - Time 1/2 Saturdays / Double Time Sundays
