About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Paint Technician on behalf of a well-established and growing client within the coatings industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a hands-on, technical role. The successful candidate will be involved in colour matching and producing customer-specific coatings for a variety of materials including wood, plastic, and glass. This role requires precision, focus, and a strong understanding of mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix, tint and adjust paints in line with customer specifications and internal formulas
- Accurately follow processes and complete orders within required timeframes
- Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail
- Complete all mandatory training
- Ensure work areas are clean, organised, and safe
Requirements
- Good understanding of mathematics (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 25kg independently
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
- Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Right to work in the UK
