Pertemps Sheffield are working in partnership with Royal Mail and are currently recruiting! If you are a HGV C+E Class 1 Driver looking for work in the Normanton/Wakefield area then look no further!
We are the main supplier of drivers to our client Royal Mail, which is the UK's designated Universal Postal Service Provider, supporting customers, businesses and communities around the country. The majority of the work is trunking, which involves collections and deliveries of the UK's mail to depots and mail centres nationally.
You will need to be an experienced driver with a minimum of 180 days experience within the last year and have held your licence for a minimum of 2 years, with less than 6 points for minor offences (no DD, DR, IN endorsements & less than 5 infringements). The ideal candidate will be flexible to work any shifts, incorporating weekend working with rest days during the week.
In return, HGV Drivers will receive:
- A good basic rate of pay!
- Driving assessments
- Minimum daily hours guarantee of 7.25 hours
- Accrued holiday pay (PAYE)

Pay Rates are as follows:
- Basic Rate - £20.82
- Dawn Rate (Shift start 0201 - 0400) - £21.83
- Early Rate 1 (0401 - 0500) - £21.35
- Early Rate 2 (0501 - 0530) - £21.08
- Evening Rate (shift finishing between 2000 - 2139) - £21.57
- Late Rate (Shift finishing between 2140 - 0159) - £22.42
- Night Rate (Shift covers hours between 2300 - 0500) - £23.85
Due to the nature of our client's business, you will be required to clear a CRB security check following the point of registration.
