We are looking for a Field Operations Manager to join Thames Water permanently.
Location: Hybrid - Compton WBS - RG20 7PH
Hours: 36 hours per week
What you will be doing as a Field Operations Manager:
- Lead and support a safe, high-performing team, ensuring the well-being of employees working across the water network.
- Deliver excellent customer service by building trust, being easy to work with, and ensuring customers feel valued.
- Manage the team’s budgets and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and deliver value for money.
- Monitor KPIs, service levels, and performance targets, driving continuous improvement through clear action plans.
- Ensure all work is delivered in line with quality standards, asset requirements and company processes.
- Lead, coach, and develop an engaged and accountable team through regular 1-2-1s, clear objectives, and ongoing performance support.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture where achievements are recognised, ideas are encouraged, and everyone has an equal voice.
What you should bring to the role:
- Experience in people management; aspiring or entry-level managers with the right support will also thrive in this role.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective stakeholder relationships.

- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Proven water network competency and completion of relevant operational network training.
- Ability to monitor performance and produce accurate KPI and SLA reporting.
