The London Tideway Tunnel is a multi‑billion‑pound project designed to prevent storm sewage from discharging to the River Thames. The project will soon be commissioned, and preparations for system acceptance are underway. The role involves providing safety‑critical asset isolations to support below‑ground maintenance of the LTT. You’ll engage with key stakeholders to ensure activities are planned effectively and deliver infrastructure and process improvements to the sewage network, focusing on KPIs and customer experience.
What you’ll be doing as a Tideway Coordinator:
- Manage specific activities within a designated area, including leading on briefed projects and providing support on larger‑scale projects.
- Provide safety‑critical isolations as an Appointed Person General (APG) to TWUL and LTT assets for all future below‑ground maintenance activities. Robust training will be provided to perform these tasks.
- Additional support function for the reviewing of Works Package Plans / RAMS / Maintenance RAMS.
- Additional resilience in development of Safe System of Works.
- Support the issuing of TWOSA's and associated permits to MEICA and Pump Hall access activities.
- Be part of the interface function between all stakeholders for below‑ground maintenance activities to take place.
- Co‑ordinate briefed projects and activities, provide and deliver reports, presentations and analysis of data as necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring all aspects of H&S are managed correctly, by completing authorisations, permits and site inspections.
- Monitor and report on all aspects of the projects that you are directly accountable for, to include H&S, finance, programme, risk and opportunity.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures and external Regulations and best practices.
- Deliver excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
Base location: Hammersmith - W6 9QD
Working pattern or hours: 36 hours a week (Monday to Friday). Working weekends and nights as required, plus inclusion onto an out‑of‑hours rota after training for which you will receive extra payment.
What you should bring to the role:
- Previous working experience in the water or a similar industry.
- Good communication skills and proactive in approach.
- Experience of managing Health and Safety.
- Good understanding of customer expectations.
- An awareness of business procedures and processes.
- Ability to liaise at all levels and influence beyond span of control.
- High attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willing to enter the sewage network once essential training is completed.
