As an HGV Driver, you will be required to drive and operate vehicles and plants to the greatest profitability and efficiency to deliver the Bio Recycling service within Thames Water sites and to external locations. You will be safely operating vehicles associated with Bio Recycling services at Thames Water sites and external locations, working collaboratively with other Thames Water employees across our sites to aid the efficient delivery of Bio Recycling’s activities.

Role Details

  • 38.5 hours per week, working a shift pattern.
  • 4 on 4 off, day shifts.
  • This position is based in the Crossness STW (East London).
  • Full training and an excellent wider benefits package.
  • Offering £37,337 per annum.

Essential Criteria to Help You Succeed

  • Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver is essential for deliveries and plant movements.
  • A front‑end Loader licence holder would be beneficial.
  • Experience in tipping lorries will be beneficial.
  • Experience delivering to farms or agricultural sites is desirable.
  • No more than 6 penalty points and no DR or IN convictions on your licence.
  • A full driver CPC and a valid Driver Tachograph card.
  • Demonstrate a clear knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act.
  • Have a working knowledge of Drivers' Hours rules and Working Time regulations.
