As a Field Operations Manager, you will lead, coordinate, and support an operational service team comprising technicians, coordinators, technical leads, and contractors who work on the Thames Water trunk main and distribution network. Your team will be offering support to deliver network maintenance, and ensuring accurate, calibrated and verified instrumentation. You will play a key role in helping Thames Water to meet its performance commitments and ODIs, but your primary focus will be the well-being and performance of your team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for managing the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of all the people in their team.
- Lead a team that delivers an exceptional service to our customers, ensuring that they trust us, they feel we are easy to do business with and that we really care.
- Responsible for managing the budgetary and financial activities of the team.
- Have clear objectives and targets, with a good understanding of KPI’s and what is required to deliver good performance.
- Lead and develop a highly performing team focused on briefing and delivering specified outputs in an efficient, effective, and commercially sound manner.
- Ensure your team is effectively resourced and that you have a capacity plan to demonstrate where there are risks to service provision, working with other departments to support times of high demand.
Base location: Greenwich Storm - SE10 8JL
Working pattern or hours: 36 Hours per week (Monday to Friday)

- Strong people leadership skills.
- Ability to analyse performance and report on KPI’s and SLA’s.
- Understanding of the water network and its assets.
- Good presentation skills and familiarity with the MS Office suite of applications.

What’s in it for you?
Offering a starting salary between £38,000 and £48,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service.
