We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper / Maintenance Operative to support a 407-bed student accommodation site in Leeds. This role is primarily focused on housekeeping duties, ensuring all communal areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. You will also provide occasional support to the site Caretaker with basic maintenance tasks.

Housekeeping Duties:
  • Cleaning and maintaining communal areas within a large student accommodation site
  • Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, shared living spaces, gym, and cinema room
  • Maintaining cleanliness of roof terraces and other shared areas
  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation
  • Reporting any maintenance or health & safety issues promptly
Assisting the Caretaker with basic maintenance tasks, including:
  • Painting and touch-up work
  • Changing spotlights and light fittings
  • Unblocking drains
  • General site upkeep and minor repairs
Experience:
  • Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities work desirable
  • Practical, hands-on approach to tasks
  • Basic DIY or maintenance skills an advantage
  • Able to work independently and manage workload
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused
  • Comfortable working in a busy student accommodation environment
