About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Client Accountant to join our supportive and friendly practice team. This is a client-facing role, ideal for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in UK practice who can confidently manage their own client portfolio and support junior team members.
You’ll be joining a relaxed but professional environment with a casual dress code, monthly socials, and a strong focus on work–life balance. Study support is available for those looking to continue or complete their professional qualifications.
Key Responsibilities

  • Managing your own portfolio of clients
  • Preparation of year-end accounts for:
    • Sole traders
    • Partnerships
    • Limited companies
  • Preparation and submission of personal and business tax returns
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Liaising with HMRC where required
  • Supporting and mentoring junior and trainee accountants
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and to deadlines


Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
  • AAT qualified preferred, though QBE candidates will be considered
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • UK tax returns
    • VAT
    • Year-end accounts
  • Ability to work independently and “hit the ground running”
  • Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
