We are looking for a Mechanical Small Works Estimator to join our growing team. This role would suit someone from a plumbing, heating, or mechanical background who is either recently off the tools or currently working in a coordination, supervisor, or office-based role and looking to progress further into estimating and project support.

About the Role

You will be responsible for pricing and managing small mechanical remedial works, primarily across plumbing, heating, gas, and general building services systems. Typical projects will range from £500 to £10,000 and will include reactive repairs, upgrades, replacements, and small planned works.

Working closely with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and the operations team, you will review site reports and client requests to produce accurate quotations and support the smooth delivery of approved works. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical industry knowledge who enjoys problem-solving, organisation, and being involved in projects from enquiry through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing quotations for small mechanical remedial and reactive works
  • Reviewing engineer reports, photographs, and site information to produce scopes of work
  • Pricing plumbing, heating, gas, and mechanical remedial works
  • Sourcing materials and obtaining supplier/subcontractor quotations
  • Liaising with engineers, clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Assisting with scheduling and procurement for approved works
  • Managing quote revisions and client queries
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
  • Supporting the smooth handover of works to the operations team

Salary: £50/55k per year (depending on experience)
Hours: 8am – 5pm
