Responsibilities
- Manage environmental risks and opportunities for a range of capital projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Ensure environmental compliance for our projects, implementing appropriate screening, de-risking and mitigation strategies.
- Provide carbon and sustainability technical assurance for projects throughout solution development, leading into design and construction.
- Manage the assurance of environmental, heritage, ecology, waste, sustainability and carbon documentation submitted by delivery partners.
- Communicate environmental legislation and best practices effectively to stakeholders.
- Promote continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability performance of all projects.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
Qualifications
- Be educated to a degree or equivalent in environmental/sustainability or something similar.
- Have an interest in project delivery and a passion for protecting and enhancing the environment.
- Take a proactive approach and be able to adapt to changing scenarios to solve problems and maintain Thames Water standards.
- This role does require a driver's licence and access to a car.

- Previous experience in the Utility industry is preferable.
