CK Group are recruiting for a Technologist to join a Flooring Materials manufacturing company at their site based in Coventry. The salary for this role ranges from £28,000 - £37,000 pa dependent on experience and ability. The Technologist will take part in key R&D projects working in the R&D Team. The working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5.15pm (37.5 hours per week).
Location: The Technologist will be based at the company’s site in Coventry easily commutable from Birmingham.
Technologist Role:- Develop technically innovative new products
- Evaluate and introduce alternative raw materials at laboratory and trial scale
- Provide effective technical support to Manufacturing
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve the product/process and reduce cost
- Identify opportunities for technology transfer and introduction of new technology to deliver innovative new products
- Undertake internal testing and commission external testing when appropriate
- At least 3 years experience in Polymer Processing Industry
- Experience in Project Management
- BSc/MChem/MSci Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science
- Full UK Driving Licence (car not required)
