An established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with practice experience who enjoys building long-term client relationships, delivering high-quality service and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of SME clients across a broad range of sectors, providing both compliance and advisory support while working closely with senior management.
The Role

  • Managing your own portfolio of business clients from a range of industries.
  • Acting as the main point of contact, delivering a proactive and professional service.
  • Reviewing accounts, tax returns and related compliance work.
  • Providing practical advice on accounting, taxation and business matters.
  • Monitoring client deadlines and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop client relationships and provide additional services.
  • Working closely with directors on more complex assignments and advisory projects.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and external stakeholders.

About YouTo be considered, you should have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience with strong practice exposure).
  • Previous experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice.
  • A strong understanding of UK accounts and tax compliance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience reviewing work and supporting less experienced team members.
  • Confidence working with a range of accounting software packages.
