Location: Thames Gateway, Essex – IG11 0AD.

Working pattern: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

Responsibilities

  • Assessment of technical information and development of solutions, including preparation of engineering deliverables such as reports, drawings, specifications, and data sheets.
  • Lead the delivery of projects for process optimisation, asset reliability, and improvement.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties, including regulators, to ensure project objectives are met and best‑value solutions are achieved.
  • Analyse and address project risks to minimise programme and delivery costs.
  • Check and review team outputs, ensuring compliance with Scope Objectives, Asset Standards, Legislation, Construction Design Management Regulations, and Health, Safety, and Welfare.
  • Oversee activities of multi‑disciplinary project teams on site, ensuring adherence to delivery procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance, support development and learning, and foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence.

What you’ll need to bring to the role

  • Degree level in Engineering or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for water treatment facilities and experience with reverse osmosis operation and/or design.
  • Understanding of project delivery principles in process industries.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety in the construction industry.
  • Understanding of industrial process decision-making in engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness with financial acumen.
  • Competence with the company IT systems and Office software.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.

  • Experience evaluating, optimising, and improving industrial processes to achieve operational excellence.
