Your role as Senior Paid Social Technical Account Manager:
As a Senior Paid Social Technical Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients across multiple platforms and a variety of budgets. You will be expected to support on key accounts across the team, lead client calls and ensure progress is tracked against relevant KPIs. This will combine an audience first approach with creative optimisations off the back of data insight. You will also work to support and oversee the work of those more junior in the team and work collaboratively to provide insights and value-adding action. In addition to client work, our Senior Paid Social Technical Account Managers are responsible for coaching, mentoring, training and developing the junior team, along with delivering regular training sessions to the wider team and business. As a Senior Paid Social Technical Account Manager, you will be expected to act as a primary point of escalation and viewed as subject matter expert, with a continuous thirst to develop industry knowledge. Anyone coming into this role will have a keen eye for detail, along with a passion for the industry and team‑work. There will also be the opportunity to help shape the products we use, the way we communicate and how we deliver paid or organic social to our clients.
Main Accountabilities:
- Manage a portfolio of large and complex clients across Paid and Organic social
- Develop, execute, and optimise multi‑market social campaigns
- Resolve complex issues and mitigate risk through strategic planning
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure aligned client strategies
- Lead client and sales calls to plan and review campaigns
- Conduct audience and creative research to inform strategy
- Write, test, and optimise ad copy
- Own budgets, forecasts, and cost management
- Analyse performance and deliver KPI‑focused monthly reporting
- Provide clear recommendations and next steps based on results
- Take accountability for campaign success and client KPIs
- Work closely with platforms and suppliers to stay ahead of best practice
- Contribute to quarterly reports, client decks, and strategic roadmaps
- Delegate and oversee execution on shared accounts
- Support new business, upsell opportunities, and team growth
- Identify training needs and help develop team capability
- Improve processes to increase efficiency and output quality
- Support day‑to‑day team operations and workload prioritisation
- Act as a senior escalation point and trusted team leader
- Drive innovation and evolution of the paid social product

Qualification/Experience Requirements:
Essential:
- Considerable experience in a Paid and Organic social role from an agency position
- Display advanced knowledge of data manipulation, with a clear understanding and application of data downloading, formatting and analysis
- Be able to implement solutions based on advanced knowledge of common metrics within paid and/or Organic social
- A strong knowledge of Excel
- Confidently build roadmaps and advises on client strategy in line with agreed KPI’s, without guidance or support
- Confidently manage a portfolio of medium to large sized clients delegating tasks appropriately
- Passionate and a keen drive for the industry e.g. day to day and/or industry changes
- Identify new development opportunities to improve service
Desirable:
- Be a master of different interfaces such as Google Ads, Microsoft etc.
Any Other Relevant Information:
This is a hybrid role split between home and office working, ensuring you work from your contracted office on the relevant allocated day (Manchester Wednesday, Leeds Thursday). Be available to travel frequently to client meetings.
