About the Role
We're looking for a Freelance AV Manager to join our team on a flexible contract basis, supporting one of IDHL's largest clients across TV, video and audio activity. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AV professional to play a key role in shaping strategy, guiding media recommendations and acting as a trusted advisor to clients. Working closely with our Client Services, Strategy and Analytics teams, you'll help deliver integrated AV campaigns spanning traditional broadcast channels and digital platforms including Linear TV, BVOD, CTV, online video and digital audio. You'll also work alongside our AV Analyst, providing support and guidance where needed, helping to ensure best practice across planning, activation and performance analysis. We're open to both hours and contract length. Whether you're looking for a few days per week or a more involved engagement over the coming months, we'd love to hear from you. Immediate start available. Candidates can either be fully remote or hybrid working from our Leeds, Manchester or London offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AV planning and recommendations across linear TV, BVOD, CTV, online video and digital audio campaigns
- Act as a key client contact for AV activity, providing strategic guidance, campaign updates and performance insights
- Collaborate with Client Services, Strategy, Analytics and Creative teams to align AV activity with wider campaign objectives
- Develop audience-first media plans and investment strategies across traditional and digital AV channels
- Work with media owners, broadcasters and platform partners to ensure effective campaign delivery and value for clients
- Support campaign measurement and reporting, identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth
- Provide guidance and support to our AV Analyst, helping develop AV best practice across the team
- Stay up to date with developments across TV, streaming, CTV, digital audio and the wider media landscape
Essential
- Proven experience working within AV, TV, video or media planning and buying
- Strong understanding of Linear TV, BVOD, CTV, online video and digital audio channels
- Experience managing client relationships and presenting media recommendations to stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to align AV activity to broader business objectives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex media concepts in a clear and engaging way
- Experience developing media plans and translating campaign objectives into effective AV strategies
- Confident analysing campaign performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of industry metrics such as TVRs, CPMs, reach and frequency, VTR and ROAS
Desirable
- Experience working with DSPs such as StackAdapt
- Knowledge of tools including BARB, Adalyser, TechEdge or similar planning and measurement platforms
- Experience with attribution modelling, incrementality testing or cross-channel measurement
- Understanding of how AV fits within a broader omnichannel marketing strategy
- Experience across digital audio and/or cinema planning and buying
- Previous experience coaching or supporting junior team members
