Your role as Finance Assistant:

Role overview: This role is based in our Leeds office working predominantly on our Ingenuity Digital Limited entity. The role is an excellent first step in getting a grounding of the business and its operations, working across different departments. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for the role, with a view to progress through the finance team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Purchase ledger and processing supplier invoices, dealing with any supplier issues
  • Sales ledger and processing customer invoices, dealing with any customer issues
  • Revenue reconciliations to ensure the accurate reporting of revenue in the ledger
  • Ensuring payments are raised to suppliers timely and responsibility for completing bank reconciliations
  • Credit cards reconciliations - working with the business to identify and allocate payments accurately within the ledger
  • Identifying any issues/ cost saving opportunities
  • Providing cover for other team members when they are on leave
  • Managing shared finance inbox
  • Provide information and assisting with audit queries
  • Other ad hoc duties

Key Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Good excel skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication skills
  • Some experience of working within an accounting environment
  • Proactive and self-motivated, taking ownership of tasks
  • Detail-oriented to get things right the first time

Preferred:

  • Experience using Sage Intacct

Qualifications: We would expect you to continue or start studies to qualify as an accountant. The business would support you in this endeavour.
