At Vervaunt, now a part of IDHL Group, our eCommerce Consultants are focused on driving commercial success for our clients by delivering best‑in‑class strategic advice and technical execution. We work closely with our clients to gain a deep understanding of their brands and use that knowledge to deliver strategic thinking that has a measurable and tangible impact on short- and long-term growth. Our eCommerce Consultants are motivated by an insatiable curiosity about what drives the best results for their clients. You ask questions, interrogate briefs and challenge assumptions to ensure you have a full understanding of the client’s outcomes in order to deliver the best results. You proactively apply your strategic and analytical skills and are able to prove impact through data‑driven results. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the entire project lifecycle (most commonly replatforming projects or other change projects) — from requirements gathering and architecture design to vendor selection and implementation oversight — ensuring that all recommendations are aligned to the client’s strategic goals and will deliver measurable improvements.

Key responsibilities
- Client Services: You lead on client accounts, owning all aspects of client management including communications, expectation management, strategic advisory and technical execution.
- Client Due Diligence: You’re able to quickly develop a deep understanding of the client’s brand and their short‑ and long‑term goals, embed yourself in the client team and constantly look for opportunities to drive value and growth.
- Technical Advisory: You provide high‑level technical guidance to clients, assuring approach to development projects, integrations and implementation of vendors.
- Vendor Management: You collaborate with clients to select the right partners, ensuring alignment with project goals, technical requirements, and best practices.
- Solution Design: You work closely with clients to design scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions, ensuring they meet the long‑term needs of the business.
- Quality Assurance: You oversee the work of third‑party development teams, conducting site reviews, architecture assessments, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards are met.
- Project Oversight: You act as the technical lead during project implementation, ensuring that the development teams adhere to the agreed‑upon architecture and deliverables.
- Stakeholder Communication: You serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights and communicating effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Risk Management: You identify potential risks in the technical strategy or implementation process and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Industry Best Practices: You stay updated on the latest technology trends and industry best practices, advising clients on how to leverage new technologies and methodologies to their advantage.
- New Business: You contribute to proposals, pitches and new business conversations as and when required.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in strategic eCommerce environments.
- Commercial: Experience with managing profitability, client growth and utilisation while also applying commercial expertise to client strategy — developing a deep understanding of true profitability.
- Data centric: You’re able to use data to make informed decisions and deliver measurable results that have trackable impact.
- Commerce platform / technology experience: Strong understanding of core eCommerce technology and platforms.
- Consultancy / Agency Background: Proven experience in a consultancy or agency environment, advising clients on technology strategy, vendor selection, and project execution.
- Vendor Collaboration: Experience working with and managing third‑party development teams or vendors, ensuring alignment with technical and business goals.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically, with a proven track record of designing and overseeing the implementation of complex technology solutions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences, with a focus on client engagement and stakeholder management.
- Problem‑Solving: Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — ideal but not required.
