Introduction

As an Apprentice Dental Nurse you’ll support clinicians in delivering high‑quality dental treatments and help the smooth running of the surgery and the practice. You will enjoy being part of a team that’s passionate about caring for patients and helping our nation smile. You will achieve a Level 3 in Dental Nursing.

What You’ll Do

Joining the UK’s leading dental network, you will deliver high‑quality dentistry that makes people smile. Duties will include:

  • Reception – answering the phone and greeting patients
  • Dealing with patient queries
  • Taking payments
  • Booking appointments and follow‑ups
  • Sterilising and preparing equipment for dentists
  • Recording and dealing with patient records
  • Supporting patients’ wellbeing and dental experience
  • Cleaning dental areas including chairs
  • Managing stock of equipment and supplies
  • Assisting the dentists and senior team to provide effective patient care

Training and Career Progression

At Mydentist, your dental career can grow in many directions. With experience you could progress into roles such as Senior Nurse, Lead Nurse or Practice Manager. You could also advance into Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist or specialise as an Orthodontic Therapist, helping deliver preventative and routine treatments.

Course Information

Course: Dental Nurse (Level 3) – Pathway: Health and Science, Apprenticeship Level: Advanced. Training provider: Tempdent Dental Agency Limited. Expected duration: 1 year 6 months. Working week: Monday to Friday 8am‑6pm, Saturday 8:30am‑2:30pm. Working arrangements: Supporting practice hours.
