The Opportunity

We are working with a growing Chartered financial planning firm looking to appoint a motivated, level 4-qualified professional who is ready to take the next step into a Financial Adviser role.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Paraplanner, Financial Administrator or IFA Administrator who has achieved their level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is looking to move into a client-facing advisory position.

You will receive guidance and mentoring from experienced Advisers, alongside access to established clients and a dedicated support team, allowing you to develop your advisory skills and build a long-term career in financial planning.

The Role

Working closely with an experienced Adviser or Mentor, you will gradually develop responsibility for client relationships and the delivery of financial advice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and participating in client meetings, fact-finds and financial reviews
  • Developing an understanding of clients' financial objectives, circumstances and long-term goals
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of suitable financial planning recommendations
  • Developing technical knowledge across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection and tax-efficient planning
  • Building confidence in explaining financial solutions and recommendations to clients
  • Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships
  • Working closely with Paraplanners, Administrators and other Advisers to ensure an excellent client experience
  • Learning to identify opportunities for additional planning, client retention and business development
  • Maintaining accurate client records and adhering to FCA requirements, suitability standards and Consumer Duty
  • Working towards greater independence as an Adviser, with ongoing mentoring and professional development

As your experience develops, you will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility for client relationships and advisory work.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • A level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent
  • Experience within financial services, ideally in a paraplanning, financial planning administration or IFA support role
  • A genuine ambition to become a Financial Adviser
  • A good understanding of pensions, investments and the financial planning process

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn from experienced Advisers
  • A commitment to delivering good client outcomes and maintaining high compliance standards
  • A full, clean UK driving licence

Candidates who are working towards Chartered status, or who are keen to continue their professional development, will be particularly attractive.
