The roleThis is a hands-on leadership role in the firm's commercial delivery team.
You'll run your own portfolio of client accounts while overseeing, coaching and developing Junior Project Managers and Associates.
A central part of the job is taking end-to-end ownership of written-lines tenders and complex renewal exercises and you'll act as a trusted point of contact for senior client stakeholders.
What you'll doManage a portfolio of client engagements from project set-up through delivery, renewal and close-out, including complex and strategically important accountsLead insurance tenders and renewals: set the strategy, build and run the timetable, brief Brokers and hold Brokers and insurers to account on quality and deadlinesReview and compare Broker and insurer proposals on structure, pricing, security, service and value and turn complex market information into clear recommendations for clientsLead or support Broker and insurer meetings and negotiations, challenging constructively where neededKeep tight control of project scope, resourcing, budgets, timelines, reporting and records and flag risks early with clear recommendationsWork closely with technical specialists so that coverage requirements and wording improvements are reflected in market activityBuild strong client relationships, manage expectations on demanding projects and spot opportunities to expand the services you provideOversee, quality-assure and coach junior colleagues, helping them take on more ownership of client and Broker workBuild a strong network of Broker and insurer contacts and help set consistent standards across the teamWhat you'll bringSubstantial experience managing insurance tenders, renewals and broker relationships, ideally in commercial insurance, broking or risk advisoryFluency in English and minimum of 1 other European languageThe confidence and judgement to engage with senior client stakeholders on complex accountsStrong project-management skills and a disciplined approach to budgets, timelines and complianceThe ability to analyse complex proposals and present clear, decision-useful adviceExperience of supervising, reviewing and developing junior team membersA commercial mindset and a drive to raise standardsWhy apply?
