Overview
We\\\’re working with a leading law firm in Scotland who are seeking a talented Solicitor or Senior Solicitor with 2-5 years\\\’ PQE (applications outside this range will also be considered where relevant experience is demonstrated).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a highly experienced team on high-value, complex litigation, while also managing your own caseload of motor claims. The role offers exposure to large loss and catastrophic injury defence work, opportunities for court appearances, and involvement in business development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the investigation and defence of large loss and catastrophic injury cases.
- Running a reduced litigated motor caseload.
- Conducting forensic review of liability, causation and quantum.
- Drafting advice, pleadings, and client correspondence.
- Liaising with clients, witnesses, counsel, and medical experts.
- Court appearances and supporting advocacy.
- Contributing to business development, including articles, blogs and events.
About you
- 2-5 years PQE (flexible for strong candidates).
- Solid litigation experience, ideally with exposure to personal injury or motor work.
- Excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- Team player with the confidence to work independently.
- Time recording experience is advantageous.
