Our client is a highly respected, growing insurance broker with a strong reputation across the UK commercial insurance market. As part of its continued expansion plans, the business is establishing a new presence in Sheffield and is seeking an ambitious Account Executive to play a key role in its growth journey. This is a rare opportunity to join at the beginning of an exciting new venture, helping to build a successful regional office while benefiting from the support, infrastructure and resources of an established national business.

The position would suit either an experienced Account Executive looking for a pathway into leadership or an ambitious insurance professional seeking to accelerate their career within a growing and entrepreneurial environment.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals and market engagement.
  • Manage the full client lifecycle from prospecting through to renewal and retention.
  • Identify client risks and provide tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
  • Retain and grow an existing portfolio while building new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with internal broking, claims and specialist teams to deliver excellent service.
  • Represent the business within the local commercial and professional community.
  • Support the strategic growth of the Sheffield office and wider regional presence.
  • Contribute to future team development and mentoring opportunities as the business expands.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within commercial insurance broking.
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrable success in winning and retaining commercial clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Good technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
  • Self-motivated, driven and commercially minded.
  • Professional qualifications (Cert CII or above) would be advantageous but are not essential.
