The Opportunity

As Insurance Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of insurance professionals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will create a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement, ensuring both commercial and customer objectives are consistently achieved. This is a broad leadership role that combines people management, technical insurance expertise and commercial leadership. You will be empowered to challenge existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement and play a key role in delivering the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of insurance sales professionals, creating a culture built around accountability, customer excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver against ambitious sales, customer and quality objectives through effective leadership and disciplined execution.
  • Drive improvements in productivity, conversion and operational performance through the effective use of data, MI and insight.
  • Act as a technical referral point, supporting complex insurance enquiries and placement scenarios.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurer partners and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activity is conducted in line with regulatory requirements and Consumer Duty principles.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys, processes and ways of working.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the insurance proposition, helping shape future strategy and capability.
  • Develop future leaders and build a highly engaged, motivated and professional team.

About You

We’re keen to speak with ambitious insurance leaders who combine strong technical capability with a genuine passion for sales, coaching and people development. You will likely be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong background within the insurance sector, ideally within commercial insurance.
  • Previous experience leading high-performing sales, contact centre or trading teams.
  • A proven track record of delivering growth and driving performance improvements.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, markets and insurer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A highly commercial and data-led approach to decision making.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where change and growth are constant.
  • Resilience, adaptability and the credibility to lead from the front.

Professional qualifications such as Cert CII would be advantageous but are not essential.
