The Opportunity
You’ll provide professional Health & Safety-led risk management advice to a portfolio of clients within both agricultural and commercial sectors. The role is a blend of site-based consultancy and home-based reporting, supporting clients to identify, assess, and control risks that could lead to loss or injury. This position will suit someone who enjoys working directly with business owners and management teams to create practical, actionable improvements to workplace safety and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site Health & Safety audits, risk assessments, and loss control surveys across agricultural and commercial settings.
- Advise clients on compliance with relevant H&S legislation, risk control measures, and safe systems of work.
- Develop tailored risk improvement plans and provide follow-up support to ensure effective implementation.
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and guidance to client teams as required.
- Collaborate with internal insurance and claims colleagues to reduce incident frequency and enhance risk resilience.
- Prepare professional written reports and maintain accurate records of client engagements.
About You
- A proven Risk Management or Health & Safety professional with experience gained within insurance, broking, or consultancy.
- Strong technical understanding of both agricultural and commercial environments, with the ability to adapt your approach accordingly.
- Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) and ideally working towards Grad IOSH or equivalent status.
- Skilled at building rapport and delivering credible, pragmatic advice to business leaders.
- Based in Scotland, with a willingness to travel across the region to visit client sites.
What's on Offer
- Part-time opportunity - three or four days per week (to suit your circumstances).
- Home-based role with autonomy to manage your own diary.
- Supportive, professional environment with a strong focus on client service and technical excellence.
- Competitive salary (pro-rata) with car allowance, bonus, and benefits package.
