Are you a Trade Credit specialist who enjoys developing new opportunities, shaping propositions, and working in a dynamic, growth-focused environment? This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's most respected independent insurance groups - a business that's expanding rapidly and investing heavily in its specialty lines, including Trade Credit, Surety and Political Risk.
Working alongside an experienced Director, you will play a pivotal role in building out the Trade Credit proposition - both internally across the wider broking group and externally in the marketplace. This is a genuine growth role: you will combine technical trade credit knowledge with commercial drive, helping to grow revenue, develop new client relationships and raise awareness of trade credit as a core business line.
Key focus areas:
- Partner with the Director to deliver the Trade Credit growth plan and strategy.
- Develop new business through your own network, referrals and cross-selling within the group.
- Engage with regional and corporate broking teams to promote Trade Credit opportunities and support client conversations.
- Manage and service your own portfolio of clients, ensuring high retention and quality advice.
- Work closely with finance, credit and treasury teams to deliver tailored credit insurance solutions.
- Liaise with insurers to structure and negotiate effective programmes.
- Contribute to marketing, thought leadership and internal education around Trade Credit.
This independent insurance group combines the resources and reach of a national broker with the collaborative, people-first culture of an owner-managed business. They are known for stability, strong client relationships and a reputation for doing things properly - but without the red tape of a corporate. You will be part of a team that genuinely values initiative, rewards performance, and gives you the autonomy to make an impact.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in Trade Credit insurance within a broking environment.
- Strong commercial instincts and a track record of developing new business.
- Confident communicator able to engage senior finance stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset - able to work across the wider broking group to generate opportunities.
- Organised, professional and motivated by growth and long-term client relationships.
- (Desirable) ACII/Dip CII or similar professional qualification.
What’s on offer:
- Competitive salary + bonus + benefits.
- Hybrid working - South East offices & client travel across the UK.
- Clear progression within a growing specialty team.
- Supportive, entrepreneurial environment with real autonomy.
If you’re ready to help shape and grow a Trade Credit proposition within a thriving independent brokerage, apply today or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
