Our client is seeking a Pensions Consultant to join their award-winning, growing organisation. You will manage a portfolio of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, act as the day-to-day client contact, and support the delivery of high-quality governance and consultancy services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support relationships with DB scheme trustees and sponsors.
- Deliver governance services, ensure compliance and maintain key scheme documents.
- Lead or support projects such as GMP equalisation and ORAs.
- Prepare reports and communication materials for trustees, employers and members.
- Provide scheme secretarial support where required.
- Contribute to new business activity including tenders, pitches and networking.
- Identify opportunities to enhance services and improve processes.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and pursue ongoing professional development.
Essential Criteria
- DB pensions experience, either in consultancy or DB administration with client management responsibilities.
- Strong technical understanding of legislation, regulation and DB/DC scheme structures.
- Proven client management and project coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn bespoke systems.
Desirable
- Working towards or holding APMI/FPMI (or equivalent).
- Experience contributing to pitches and business development.
- Familiarity with the PPF assessment process.
