The Opportunity
This is a newly created role for a Management Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function. You\’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making . The role offers scope for both autonomy and influence as the business scales.
This is a hybrid role , with three days per week in the Glasgow office and two days from home .
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting and financial modelling
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and manage ledgers accurately
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial partners
- Support financial reporting and integration during acquisitions
- Drive improvements to financial systems, controls, and reporting
- Provide ad-hoc financial insight to management and directors
What We\’re Looking For
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent )
- Strong background in management accounting and reporting
- Commercially aware, with a proactive, business-focused mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of the finance function
- Experience in insurance or financial services (desirable but not essential)
- Strong proficiency in financial software and Excel
