Management Accountant

The Opportunity
This is a newly created role for a Management Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function. You\’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making . The role offers scope for both autonomy and influence as the business scales.
This is a hybrid role , with three days per week in the Glasgow office and two days from home .

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting and financial modelling
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and manage ledgers accurately
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial partners
• Support financial reporting and integration during acquisitions
• Drive improvements to financial systems, controls, and reporting
• Provide ad-hoc financial insight to management and directors

What We\’re Looking For

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent )
• Strong background in management accounting and reporting
• Commercially aware, with a proactive, business-focused mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of the finance function
• Experience in insurance or financial services (desirable but not essential)
• Strong proficiency in financial software and Excel
