A fast-growing MGA with ambitious expansion plans is looking for a commercially-minded Schemes Developer to play a central role in building out a delegated authority capability from the ground up.
The opportunity This is a genuine growth play.
The business has a clear target to scale its P&C portfolio significantly by 2030, and schemes development is identified as a key pillar of that strategy.
You'll be joining at the point where the concept has been approved, the platform is being rebuilt, and the path is clear - what's needed now is the right person to go and find the business.
What you'll be doing Identifying, developing and on boarding schemes business, with an initial focus on smaller, efficient schemes in the 100k-250k range Working closely with the internal underwriting team and capacity provider to bring new delegated facilities to market Building relationships with brokers and scheme operators across the UKContributing to the long-term strategy for the schemes function as the portfolio grows What we're looking for A strong understanding of the schemes and DA market - you know how these deals work and have the contacts to make things happen A sales mentality; this is a business development role first and foremost Underwriting experience is not essential - market knowledge and commercial drive matter more Someone comfortable working in a building phase, without an existing team around them South-based, with the ability to travel to London regularly Why this role?The infrastructure is in place, the capacity backing is secured, and senior management are committed to this strategy.
