A fast-growing, independent insurance brokerage is seeking an Account Executive to join its expanding Real Estate division. The firm specialises in commercial and residential property risk, offering technical expertise, high-touch service and a genuinely clientâfirst approach. The role is ideal for someone who wants both autonomy and meaningful impact within a boutique, entrepreneurial environment.
This is a privately owned, fiercely independent brokerage built on long-term relationship management and clear, practical insurance advice. The company has grown steadily by focusing on specialist sectors and delivering genuinely bespoke solutions rather than volume-driven broking.
The firm is led by a highly experienced insurance professional with a long track record in commercial and private-client risk. Their background includes senior roles within both large national brokers and specialist advisory firms, giving them deep technical insight combined with a modern, agile approach to service. Known for being handsâon, approachable and commercially sharp, the owner places huge value on integrity, transparency and long-term client partnerships.
The culture is collaborative, non-hierarchical, and supportive â everyone works together to deliver high-quality outcomes. It is entrepreneurial and progressive â ideas are encouraged, bureaucracy is low, and good performance is recognised quickly. The firm is client-centric, prioritising quality over quantity, strong advice over quick wins, and long-term relationships over short-term gain. It is trusted, stable and personable â a place where people enjoy coming to work, feel valued, and have direct access to senior leadership. Professional but down-to-earth â the team balances strong technical expertise with a friendly, pragmatic attitude.
This position focuses on expanding the company's presence within the realâestate market by developing new relationships with property owners, landlords, asset managers, developers and portfolio operators. You will manage your own pipeline, craft tailored insurance solutions and work closely with broking, servicing and claims colleagues.

- Meet prospects, conduct risk reviews and create tailored insurance programmes with support from internal specialists.

- Represent the business professionally, conveying its values of independence, clarity and genuine adviceâled service.
- Maintain longâterm, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders such as fund managers, landlords and developers.
- Feed market intelligence into the business related to realâestate trends, risk issues and insurer appetite.
- Collaborate internally to ensure exceptional onboarding, servicing and claims support for new clients.
- Work within FCA regulatory expectations and internal compliance processes.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in commercial insurance broking or account management, ideally with realâestate exposure.
- Strong newâbusiness development capabilities and a track record of generating leads and closing deals.
- Understanding of commercial and residential property risk.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Energetic, proactive and selfâdirected â comfortable working autonomously within a supportive boutique environment.
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism, with a commitment to client care.
- CII progress advantageous but not essential.
What's on Offer:
- Competitive salary + commission/bonus based on performance.
- Hybrid working and genuine workâlife balance.
- Direct access to experienced leadership and the opportunity to learn from a highly respected industry professional.
- Funding for professional qualifications and development.
- Real ownership of your market, your pipeline and your progression.
