Some opportunities offer responsibility. Others offer the chance to build, and own, something that doesn't exist yet. This is firmly the latter. Backed by significant investment and led by individuals with an exceptional track record of building and scaling specialist insurance businesses, a new underwriting platform is seeking a senior Kidnap & Ransom specialist to establish and lead a dedicated K&R proposition.
The ambition is clear. Create a market-leading specialty business built around exceptional underwriting talent, strong capacity partnerships and a genuinely entrepreneurial culture. You’ll be responsible for shaping the proposition from the ground up. Underwriting strategy, product development, capacity relationships, distribution and team growth will all sit within your remit.
The opportunity is likely to appeal to an existing Head of K&R or an ambitious second-in-command who has the expertise, credibility and market relationships to build a franchise but lacks the platform to do so. This is not a role for someone seeking incremental career progression. It’s for an individual who wants influence, autonomy and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on a business being built for long-term growth.
If you’ve ever wondered what you could achieve without the constraints of a large corporate environment, we’d welcome a confidential conversation.
