I'm looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join a successful and well‑established IFA practice in London as it embarks on its next growth phase. This is a key technical role supporting Financial Advisers through the delivery of high‑quality, compliant financial planning recommendations and suitability reports. You'll work across a broad range of advice areas including pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning and protection, while also helping to mentor and develop junior paraplanners within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing accurate and compliant suitability reports in line with FCA requirements
- Undertaking complex financial planning research and analysis across pensions (DB & DC), retirement planning, investments, estate planning, protection, and taxation
- Reviewing adviser recommendations for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Supporting advisers with client meeting preparation and ensuring cases progress efficiently
- Liaising with providers and maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Acting as a technical point of reference for advisers and paraplanners
- Contributing to process improvements, training, and paraplanning best practice
Requirements for the Role
- Paraplanning experience within a UK financial advice firm
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning
- Proven experience writing complex suitability reports
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of FCA regulation and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently
- Essential qualification: CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma

- Experience mentoring junior staff
- Knowledge of CURO, Voyant, and FE Analytics
