The team is an integral part of one of the largest Life Sciences practices in the UK and you will be responsible for handling a wide variety of patent disputes. This is an opportunity to work with high profile clients across a number of different sectors, including life sciences, advanced manufacturing, technology, financial services, higher education, retail and energy, on precedent setting litigation. You will be working on the biggest most important cases in IP before the UK High Court. The contentious and non-contentious intellectual property work is done in a standalone, unitary IP team which services its own clients as well as those of the wider firm. The work includes advising clients on freedom to operate, strategic business critical litigation, managing their intellectual property and optimising their returns and investment. It also includes advising on potential collaborations with third parties and on the IP aspects of the sale or purchase of businesses. The ideal candidate will be: 7+PQE Will have been working in a well regarded firm having a strong life sciences and/or high-tech practice, have significant experience of handling patent applications in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical fields, and involving complex technologies, but must also be willing to work on matters in the broader chemical and/or high-tech field and have a strong client focussed approach.
