Overview
We are seeking a talented non-contentious insurance lawyer to join a growing Insurance team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a market-leading City practice advising on a broad range of insurance and regulatory matters.
The Role
You will be involved in a mix of transactional and advisory work, including:
- Strategic partnership and bancassurance arrangements
- Drafting and negotiating distribution and outsourcing agreements
- Advising on retail and commercial product development
- FCA and PRA regulatory issues (including investigations and supervision projects)
- Cross-border regulatory perimeter issues
- Reinsurance agreements (including captive programmes)
- Insurance business transfers (including renewal rights)
- Insurance sector M&A
The team\\\’s clients include leading global insurers, Lloyd\\\’s syndicates, life companies, friendly societies, broker groups, and major retail distributors.

- 20 lawyers focusing on both contentious and non-contentious insurance work
- Integrated within a wider Regulation, Insurance and Funds practice
- Strong collaboration with the Corporate Financial Services team, offering exposure to a diverse range of projects and transactions
The Candidate
- Qualified lawyer with 2+ years\\\’ PQE
- Strong technical background, with exposure to insurance and regulatory matters
- Commercially aware, client-focused, and enthusiastic about business development
- Excellent communication, drafting, and organisational skills
- Flexible in working across general insurance and life/wealth insurance products
