A fast-growing, international specialist insurance group is seeking a Senior Insurance Law & Regulatory Compliance Lawyer to support its expanding global operations. The organisation operates across multiple jurisdictions, offering complex insurance and intermediary services, and is in a phase of significant strategic growth. This role sits within the compliance function, not a traditional Legal Counsel position and is ideal for lawyers who want a more operational, business-integrated role. You will play a key part in shaping the group's regulatory and legal frameworks, ensuring global consistency, and advising on specialised insurance legal issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain an international licensing guide covering cross-border insurance distribution and intermediary requirements
- Develop a global regulatory and legal change monitoring framework, coordinating expertise across regions and functions
- Provide specialist insurance law advice, including support with insurance and reinsurance wording reviews
- Conduct legal assessments in areas such as sanctions, AML, and data privacy
- Contribute to group-wide Legal & Compliance projects, initiatives and reporting
About You
- Qualified lawyer with strong experience in insurance law, regulatory compliance and cross-border regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of insurance distribution rules, policy structures, and regulatory risk areas
- Able to work independently, manage projects, and engage senior stakeholders with confidence
- Pragmatic, commercially aware, and solutions-focused
