A highly regarded, national wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join its established presence in Fareham. This is a unique opportunity to step into a succession plan, inheriting and developing an existing client base as part of the firm's continued growth strategy.

The Opportunity

Following a recent acquisition, the current business owner is planning to retire within the next 12 months, creating a clear pathway for an incoming Advisor to take over an established portfolio. You will work closely with the existing principal during the transition, ensuring a smooth handover of client relationships and long-term continuity. The firm continues to grow through both acquisitions and organic expansion, offering strong long-term career stability and progression.

The Role

  • Manage and transition an existing client portfolio
  • Deliver holistic, high-quality financial planning advice
  • Build trusted relationships with clients during the succession period
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities

Package & Benefits

  • Year 1: no validation target, with 35% bonus on new business
  • Year 2+: bonus structure based on exceeding validation (3x salary)

About You

  • Experienced Financial Planner with a strong track record
  • Ideally managing or capable of introducing a client bank (~£10m AUM+)
  • Strong relationship management and client‑facing skills
  • Chartered status preferred (or working towards)
  • Professional, credible, and confident in managing succession transitions
