What if your next underwriting role gave you the freedom to build, the tools to move faster, and the opportunity to share in the success you help create? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Energy Underwriter to join a dynamic and growing insurer that is challenging traditional approaches to underwriting. With significant investment in technology, a genuinely entrepreneurial culture, and a business model built around employee ownership, this is an opportunity to join an organisation that is doing things differently.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • A Stake in the Outcome: The business believes that success should be shared. Every employee holds equity in the parent company, creating a culture where individuals are invested in both the short-term performance and long-term success of the organisation. Many members of the team have also chosen to invest their own capital, reflecting their confidence in the business and its future direction.
  • Technology Designed for Underwriters: At the heart of the business is a proprietary underwriting platform built to improve efficiency and enhance the underwriting experience. By enabling complex risks to be quoted and bound in under a minute, underwriters can focus their time where it adds the most value - trading, relationship building and underwriting profitable business.
  • A Culture Built for Growth: The organisation operates with a flat structure and a digital-first mindset, removing unnecessary layers of hierarchy and enabling quicker decision-making. Employees are trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas and influence outcomes, creating an environment where entrepreneurial underwriters can thrive.

  • A strong new business mindset with proven broker development capabilities.
  • Sound technical underwriting knowledge and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
