We are seeking a Broker Engagement Manager / Business Development Manager to join a leading, modern, and award-winning MGA, renowned for its innovative approach, exceptional service, and market expertise in SME Property & Casualty and Professional Indemnity insurance. In this role, you will join a high-performing e-trade team within a dynamic and fast-paced underwriting environment. You will play a pivotal part in developing broker relationships, driving business growth, and influencing strategic distribution decisions - all while working with a talented and collaborative team.
This is not a traditional relationship-management role; it is a data-driven, strategic position where your insights and analytical ability will directly shape broker engagement and business performance. You will use robust data to inform decisions, identify growth opportunities, and tailor strategies to the needs and potential of each broker partner. You will work closely with leadership, underwriting, marketing, claims, and data teams to deliver outstanding results and uphold the high service standards that make this MGA a trusted broker partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse broker performance metrics, identify trading patterns, and share insights across the business.
- Deliver growth by managing pipelines, developing broker relationships, and achieving income targets.
- Support and enhance broker engagement strategies to increase enquiry volumes and conversions.
- Clearly communicate underwriting appetite and messaging, working closely with marketing and underwriting.
- Contribute to delivering a market-leading service and maintaining high renewal retention rates.
- Stay up to date with market developments, trends, and technical knowledge.
