A national, well-established wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Manager to lead its investment offering and provide strategic portfolio guidance for high-net-worth clients. This is an exciting senior role, working closely with Financial Planners and clients to deliver tailored investment solutions while shaping the investment strategy for the Birmingham office.
The Role
- You will take ownership of client investment portfolios, providing senior-level advice, oversight and strategy.
- As a senior member of the investment team, you will guide and mentor junior colleagues while ensuring clients receive expert, research-driven investment solutions.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and overseeing high-net-worth client investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with goals, risk appetite and long-term strategy.
- Providing strategic investment advice and recommendations, supported by market research and in-depth analysis.
- Collaborating with Financial Planners to integrate investment solutions into broader financial plans.
- Leading investment-focused client meetings and presenting complex portfolio strategies clearly and confidently.
- Supporting business growth through contributions to client acquisition and retention, as well as representing the firm at networking or investment events.
- Mentoring and developing junior investment team members.
What You’ll Bring
- Significant experience in wealth or investment management, ideally managing HNW or UHNW portfolios.
- Deep knowledge of asset allocation, investment strategy, portfolio construction and risk management.
- Proven ability to lead and influence clients, colleagues and internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex investment concepts clearly.
- Professional investment qualifications such as CFA, CISI Diploma, or equivalent.
- A proactive, collaborative and strategic mindset.
