Are you an experienced Financial Planning Administrator looking to take the next step in your career with a leading wealth management business? This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Financial Planning team supporting experienced advisers who work with high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners. Internally, the role is known as a Senior Wealth Planning Assistant, but this is a senior financial planning administration position where you'll become an integral part of a collaborative team that values expertise, professional development and exceptional client service.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Financial Planning Administrator, you'll provide comprehensive support throughout the client journey, ensuring a seamless experience from initial enquiry through to implementation and ongoing servicing. Working closely with Financial Planners, Paraplanners and internal specialists, you'll manage complex administration, coordinate client meetings, liaise with providers and play a key role in delivering exceptional client outcomes. You'll also act as a senior member of the team, supporting junior colleagues, sharing best practice and contributing towards continuous improvements across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end administrative support to Financial Planners
  • Prepare and process new business applications accurately and efficiently
  • Manage client onboarding, including AML and CDD requirements
  • Coordinate client meetings, valuations, meeting packs and diary management
  • Attend client meetings where appropriate and complete all follow-up actions
  • Liaise with providers, Solicitors and other third parties
  • Prepare Letters of Authority, client documentation and application forms
  • Maintain accurate client records using XPlan and internal systems
  • Support the submission of cases to the paraplanning team
  • Handle client queries professionally and efficiently
  • Assist with billing, invoicing and commission administration
  • Mentor and support junior members of the team
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the client experience

About You

You’ll already have experience within financial planning or wealth management and enjoy working in a client-focused, fast-paced environment. You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Financial Planning Administrator, Senior IFA Administrator, Financial Planning Administrator, Wealth Management Administrator or a similar role
  • A strong understanding of the end-to-end financial planning process
  • Knowledge of pensions, investments and protection products
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach
  • Experience using XPlan (preferred)
  • Experience with Voyant (advantageous)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
