Overview
I'm currently working with a leading UK wealth management firm with a long-established reputation for delivering bespoke investment management and financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals, families, charities and institutional clients.
Due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Investment Director who can combine exceptional relationship management with a proven ability to grow assets under management and develop new business opportunities.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, highly respected team where you'll have the autonomy to build your client base, work alongside experienced Financial Planners, and benefit from the backing of an established national wealth management business with an excellent reputation in the market.
Responsibilities
- Building and developing relationships with new and existing high-net-worth clients.
- Managing bespoke investment portfolios in line with clients\' objectives, attitude to risk and tax considerations.
- Leading client meetings and delivering tailored investment advice.
- Driving new business through referrals, networking and professional introducers.
- Working closely with Financial Planning colleagues to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Reviewing portfolios and implementing investment changes where appropriate.
- Contributing to the wider growth strategy of the Birmingham office.
- Mentoring and supporting junior investment professionals.
About You
- A Level 6 qualification and a current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
- Significant experience within discretionary investment management.
- A strong track record of identifying, winning and retaining high-value clients.
- A proactive business development mindset with proven success generating new assets under management through referrals, networking and strategic partnerships.
- Experience managing substantial investment portfolios.
- Strong experience working with high-net-worth individuals, with institutional or charity experience being advantageous.
- Experience developing and delivering against business plans.
- Outstanding relationship management, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach and a desire to contribute to the continued success of an established, high-performing team.
