Our client is seeking a Pensions Consultant to join their award-winning, growing organisation. You will manage a portfolio of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, act as the day-to-day client contact, and support the delivery of high-quality governance and consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support relationships with DB scheme trustees and sponsors.
  • Deliver governance services, ensure compliance and maintain key scheme documents.
  • Lead or support projects such as GMP equalisation and ORAs.
  • Prepare reports and communication materials for trustees, employers and members.
  • Provide scheme secretarial support where required.
  • Contribute to new business activity including tenders, pitches and networking.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance services and improve processes.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and pursue ongoing professional development.

Essential Criteria

  • DB pensions experience, either in consultancy or DB administration with client management responsibilities.
  • Strong technical understanding of legislation, regulation and DB/DC scheme structures.
  • Proven client management and project coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn bespoke systems.

Desirable

  • Working towards or holding APMI/FPMI (or equivalent).
  • Experience contributing to pitches and business development.
  • Familiarity with the PPF assessment process.
