We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Litigation Partner to join a leading national law firm at a pivotal stage of growth. This is a standout opportunity for a senior litigator who wants more than just a platform — it’s a chance to build, shape and lead a team, drive strategy, and develop a best-in-class real estate disputes practice within a highly respected national firm. This role is ideal for a partner (or senior legal director/consultant with partner ambitions) who combines technical excellence, commercial acumen, and leadership capability, and who is motivated by growing a practice and mentoring talent.

The Opportunity

  • You will play a central role in developing and expanding the firm’s real estate litigation offering, with full support to:
    • Build and lead a dedicated team
    • Develop client relationships and referral networks
    • Shape the strategic direction of the practice
    • Grow market presence nationally
    • Drive business development and profile-building

Scope of Work

You and your team will handle a broad, high-quality caseload including:

  • Transactional & Development Disputes
    • Sale/purchase and joint venture agreement disputes
    • Construction of leases
    • Service charge disputes
    • Construction disputes
    • Building Safety Act matters as they develop
  • Land & Property Rights
    • Rights of way, easements (prescriptive and express)
    • Boundary disputes and neighbour disputes
    • Restrictive covenants
    • Proprietary estoppel
    • Adverse possession and trespass
    • High-value land acquisition litigation (including strategic infrastructure zones)
  • Commercial Landlord & Tenant
    • Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 matters
    • Business lease renewals and terminations
    • Forfeiture
    • Break notices
    • Dilapidations
    • Breach of covenant
    • Tenant insolvency
    • Rent arrears recovery
  • Residential & Trusts
    • Residential landlord and tenant disputes
    • Complex residential possession claims
    • TOLATA/co-ownership disputes
