We have been retained by a leading corporate insurer to identify a W&I Underwriter to join its growing global, transactional risk practice. The business has established itself as a prominent player in the transactional risk market and, with strong institutional backing and ambitious growth plans, is investing further in its underwriting capabilities to meet sustained demand for W&I solutions across the UK, Europe and Emerging Markets.
Working alongside senior underwriters, you will support the assessment and underwriting of W&I insurance risks, assist in managing broker relationships, and contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s underwriting appetite and strategy. The role offers genuine exposure to complex transactions and direct engagement with clients, brokers and advisers across the deal lifecycle — with clear scope to develop into a more senior underwriting position as the practice grows.
Candidates will bring a strong, private M&A background or W&I insurance experience whether from an underwriting, broker — or a strong foundation in M&A, corporate law, private equity or transactional advisory from a law firm with a clear interest in moving into the insurance market.
