IDEX Consulting are currently partnered with an insurance broker with UK and European operations looking to appoint a Compliance Officer to support the ownership of the day-to-day running of compliance across the business.
This is a genuinely hands-on, generalist compliance role within an organisation where the compliance framework, governance structure and risk appetite are already in strong shape. The business is not looking for someone to rebuild or remediate, but for a capable compliance professional who enjoys keeping things running well, managing the ongoing regulatory workload and being a visible, trusted point of contact across the business.
The role covers the full spectrum of FCA compliance activity, including:
- SMCR administration
- Regulatory submissions
- Financial promotions
- Complaints oversight
- Audits
- Product governance and fair value assessments across the broker’s insurance products
You will also act as Data Protection Officer and have regular interaction with insurers, MGAs and appointed representatives.
Stakeholder management is a key part of the role. You will work closely with senior management and operational teams, providing pragmatic guidance and ensuring compliance is embedded in day-to-day decision making. Support is available from experienced external compliance consultancies, allowing you to sense-check, escalate or draw on specialist input where needed, while still retaining ownership of the function internally.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail, is organised and proactive, and takes pride in running an effective, well-governed compliance function.
